Has any one tried to use Bloomberg Open API to get the currency exchange rates from their web site and populate to Accpac? My client has concern over the Accpac Developer's Guides. The BLPAPI Developer’s Guide is a tutorial for developing applications with BLPAPI in C++, Java and C# (.NET). It documents how the SDK libraries connect to the Bloomberg network, data schemas, events and messages, and much more. Bloomberg Open API announced recently - is it just the Bloomberg SDK which had been (limitedly) exposed to public for quite a while?. My understanding is that Bloomberg SDK is possible to use only on the machine with a Bloomberg Terminal installed, but the recently announced Open API (which is syntactically the same) will be possible to use from any machine.
